Frequently asked questions.
Before Your Session
What should I bring?
Bring your instrument(s), your lyric sheet, and anything essential to your performance. If you’re unsure about specific gear, just ask — I’ll let you know what’s needed and what I already have covered.
How should I prepare my music?
Rehearse your material until you know it inside and out. A rough demo (even a voice memo) helps guide the session. The more prepared you are, the smoother and quicker the recording process will be.
What if I don’t have a band?
No worries — I can help arrange session musicians if needed. I work with players across multiple genres, so we can build the track even if you're a solo artist.
How should I organize my material?
If you’re not playing all the instruments yourself, make sure your lyric sheet includes chord progressions, structure notes, or any important cues so we stay aligned throughout the session.
During Your Session
What can I expect from me as your engineer?
You’ll get professional guidance, clear direction, and unbiased feedback. My goal is to elevate your performance, shape your sound, and help you get the best possible recording from start to finish.
What experience and equipment do you use?
I specialize in multiple genres — rock, metal, rap, country, and more — and my studio is equipped with industry-standard gear. If you’re curious about something specific, just ask, and I’ll walk you through it.
How long will it take?
Session time varies depending on the number of parts, overdubs, and the complexity of your track. Before we start, we’ll talk through a realistic timeline so you know exactly what to expect.
Do I need a click track?
A click track helps us keep tight timing, but we can map tempo changes to match a natural, live feel. The goal is always to keep your performance musical — not robotic.
Should I warm up?
Absolutely. Warm up your voice or instruments beforehand, and take small breaks or stretches between takes. Better energy = better performance.
Cost & Logistics
How much does it cost?
Rates vary by service, but many artists choose one of my flat-rate packages (Recording + Mixing + Mastering, or Mixing + Mastering only). If you prefer custom pricing, I can provide a detailed quote.
What’s included in the price?
Depending on your package, your rate may include recording, mixing, mastering, engineering time, revision rounds, and deliverables. I’ll always break down everything so there are no surprises.
Do you offer flat-rate options?
Yes — I offer flat-rate packages per song so you know your total cost upfront. This is often more affordable than hourly studio rates.
What are the payment terms?
Full payment is required upfront to book your time or secure your package. This ensures the session date is locked in and the project moves smoothly from start to finish. If we come to terms that I am not the right fit after recording up to %60 will be refunded.
